Local Initiatives for Biodiversity, Research and Development (LI-BIRD) is a non-profit making, non-governmental organization established in October 1995 with its Head Office in Pokhara. LI-BIRD is committed to capitalizing on local initiatives for sustainable management of renewable natural resources and improving livelihoods of rural people in Nepal and the South Asia region.
Climate-Smart Villages (CSV) project is funded by the CGIAR Research Program on Climate Change, Agriculture and Food Security (CCAFS) from 1 July 2015 to 30 December 2016 in Bardiya, Dang, Gorakha, Mahottari and Nawalparasi districts. The project aims to pilot, test and evaluate solar-powered irrigation based CSV models, and non-solar CSV models. LI-BIRD invites applications from eligible Nepali citizens who are reliable, accountable and have the ability to deliver the results with the highest integrity for the following positions.
1. Monitoring & Evaluation Officer (MEO) (Level 7 or 8) - 1 (Pokhara based with frequent travel to project sites)
2. Research Officer (RO) (Level 6) - 4 (Each based in Bardiya, Dang, Mahottari and Nawalparasi)
3. Technical Assistant (TA) (Level 4 or 5) - 5 (Each based in Bardiya, Dang, Gorkha, Mahottari and Nawalparasi)
