International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies is the world's largest humanitarian organization providing assistance without discrimination as to nationality, race, religious belief, class or political opinion. The office's role is to support the Nepal Red Cross Society (NRCS) in delivering humanitarian services to the most vulnerable. The IFRC is seeking applications from qualified candidates meeting following eligibility.
Position: Senior Shelter Officer, Swiss Red Cross
Education: University degree in civil or structural engineering or architecture
Experience: At least 5 years of working experience in the domain of construction, 3 years working experience in humanitarian aid and post-disaster operations, experience in shelter program development, experience in capacity building or training projects, experience in WASH/DRR is an asset, experience in reconstruction with an Owner Driven Approach is a strong asset.
Duration and Location: Six months, Kathmandu and Dolakha with possibility of extension.
