The Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) has been working in Nepal since 1996, undertaking technical cooperation and grant aid programs on behalf of Korean government. Currently KOICA is implementing a new project in Mugu district for Maternal Child Healthcare Service Improvement, and we are looking for experienced and qualified persons to fill the following position for this project.
Post Title: Health Specialist
Project Title: HIM Project - for Improving Maternal Child Healthcare Service in Mugu District Contract Type: Fixed-term Contract (Including two months of probation period)
Contract Duration: 1 year (Renewable)
Duty Station: Kathmandu and Mugu District

Major Job Responsibilities
• Run regular monitoring of the health situations in the project areas
• Plan/Implement/Monitor of training programs
• Engage in bidding process such as documentation for hiring implementing agencies of the program • Technical advice to District Health Office to improve MCH services in health facilities
• Manage the process for medical equipment provisions to district hospital
Required Qualifications:
• Master degree in medicine, public health or related major
• At least five years of parallel experience in health project
• Good knowledge of medical, public health and health care systems
• Fluent in English (speaking and writing)
