Job Vacancy - WWF Nepal (A USAID funded Hariyo Ban Program)

WWF Nepal, the global conservation organization leading international efforts for a living planet, seeks applications from qualified Nepali candidates for the following full-time position. The recruitment of this position is subject to receiving donor funding. 

The Hariyo Ban Program is a USAID-funded five-year initiative implemented in Terai Arc and Chitwan-Annapurna landscapes, running from August 2011 to August 2016. The program aims at reducing the adverse impacts of climate change and threats to biodiversity in Nepal and is implemented by four consortium partners - WWF Nepal, CARE Nepal, National Trust for Nature Conservation and Federation of Community Forest Users Nepal. Hariyo Ban has three thematic components (biodiversity conservation; sustainable landscapes and climate adaptation) and three cross-cutting themes (livelihoods; governance; and gender and social inclusion). The Program also works in payments for ecosystem services, particularly REDD+.

Job Position: Green Recovery and Reconstruction Specialist, Hariyo Ban Program (based in Kathmandu)  
Qualifications: A Master's degree in disaster risk management, environmental impact assessment, environmental management, international development or a related field with at least 6 years of experience in both environment and development/humanitarian programs is required. Experience in disaster response, environmental impact assessment, and/or green recovery and reconstruction is highly preferred.
