Vacancy Announcement - WWF Nepal

WWF Nepal, the global conservation organization leading international efforts for a living planet, seeks applications from qualified Nepali candidates for the following full-time positions. 

The Hariyo Ban Program is a USAID funded five-year initiative implemented in Terai Arc and Chitwan-Annapurna landscapes, running from August 2011 to August 2016. The program aims at reducing the adverse impacts of climate change and threats to biodiversity in Nepal and is implemented by four consortium partners - WWF Nepal, CARE Nepal, National Trust for Nature Conservation and Federation of Community Forestry Users Nepal. Hariyo Ban has three thematic components (biodiversity conservation; sustainable landscapes and climate adaptation) and three cross-cutting themes (livelihoods; governance; and gender and social inclusion). The Program also works in payments for ecosystem services, particularly REDD+. Job Position: Communications Manager, Hariyo Ban Program (based in Kathmandu)  
Qualifications: A Master's degree preferably in mass communications or a related field with at least 6 years of work experience in a similar positionis required. IT knowledge especially the use of audio-visual, web and designing tools will be a strong advantage. The candidate should be effectively able to prioritize and work under time constraints, using initiative and judgement. Strong interpersonal, communication and team-player skills are essential. 

2. Program Associate, TAL-PABZ (based in Chitwan) 
Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree in Natural Resource Management, Environmental Science or a related field is required with at least 2 years of experience in a similar position in the field of landscape level conservation and livelihoods issues. This position requires good communication skills. Project monitoring experience will be a strong advantage.
