Population Services International (PSI) is a global non-profit organization dedicated to improving the health of people in the developing world by focusing on serious challenges like lack of family planning, HIV/AIDS, barriers to maternal health, and the greatest threats to children under five, including malaria, diarrhea, pneumonia and malnutrition. PSI/Nepal began operations in early 2002 to work in the areas of HIV/AIDS prevention, child survival and family planning in support of Government of Nepal's National Reproductive Health and HIV/AIDS Prevention Strategies. Currently PSI/Nepal is operational in 50 districts and the portfolio includes reproductive health and family planning. PSI/Nepal is seeking a qualified candidate for the following position:
Job Position: Behavior Change Communication (BCC) Officer
Qualification:
• Bachelor/Master degree in Communication, Social Science, Health Education or other relevant discipline
• Minimum 3 years of similar work experience
• Experience in the development, implementation, training and evaluation of behavior change communication plans (preferably in the community level)
• Ability to understand and use research data to inform program design
• Strong human resource management, motivational and presentation skills
• Be enthusiastic and have a desire to make positive impact as a team leader and a team player
• Effective spoken and written communication skills in both English and Nepali
