S.W. Nepal Pvt. Ltd. (Scott Wilson Nepal) invites applications from qualified candidates for following position.

Job Position: Research Assistant (GIS)

Overall Responsibilities

-        Support GIS expert in analyzing and updating District Profiles and other mapping works.

Application Deadline: January 7, 2015

Specific responsibilities:

The candidate shall be capable to perform following key tasks:

-        Spatial analysis (Buffering, Density and Distribution)

-        Network analysis (Connectivity and Service Area)

-        Digital Elevation Model (DEM) analysis

-        Land use change analysis

-        Data layer development (Point, Polyline, Polygon and Attributes)

-        Image classification

-        Online data acquiring (Online based images/google earth)

-        Producing map in Nepali language.

Skills and qualifications:

- The candidate shall be Graduate in any stream with sound knowledge of Arc GIS (version 10+). 

- No prior experience is required.

This shall be a short-term position with possibility for extension. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for interview. SW Nepal reserves the right to cancel this position or not to select any of the applicants.
