Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) has decreased the load-shedding to 56 hours from 70 hours a week with effect from June 4, 2014 (Jestha 21, 2071). As per the new schedule, Nepalese people will have to live in darkness for 7.5 to 9 hours in a day.
