World Vision International Nepal (WVIN), an international Christian relief, development and advocacy organisation dedicated to working with children, families and communities to overcome poverty and injustice, is looking for potential Nepalese candidates to fill out the following position:
Job Position: Security Specialist (One)
Job Location: National Office
Application Deadline: 31 March 2014
Work Purpose: To monitor the overall security situation of the country; provide periodic update and recommendations to the management and other stakeholders; network with national security groups to ensure accurate and regular security information flow and train staff on security planning and management.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience Required: Bachelor's Degree (preferably Master's Degree) in security management with at least 5 years experience in a proven security or emergency service field (public, private, and government or NGO sectors in military, security or law enforcement services) and first aid professional, demonstrated project management skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure, ability to train on security management, competent in monitoring security situation of the country and working areas, good communication and crisis management skills, demonstrated collaboration and networking skills, good facilitation skills for training and capacity building, strong inter-personal skills and proven team-player, excellent written and oral communication skills in both English and Nepali, competent in using MS Word, MS Excel and PowerPoint presentation, ability to work under stressful condition and adaptive to local culture and situation, strong team player; must be able to form and lead a number of cross functional working groups, self-motivated, confident, independent and creative with strong analytical skills, committed to World Vision ethos, vision, mission and core values.
