Job Vacancy - The Britain Nepal Medical Trust

The Britain Nepal Medical Trust (BNMT) has been working in the Health and Development Sector of Nepal since 1967. The BNMT works under an agreement with the Government of Nepal and in partnership with national and international development partners in all regions throughout Nepal.

BNMT seeks applications from qualified, experienced and motivated Nepalese candidates for the following position.

Job Position: Project Manager (PM) for Human Resources for Health (HRH) Project.

Duty Station: Kathmandu with 50% travel to the project districts

Main Duties and Responsibilities: This is a Senior Level position. The Project Manager will be overall responsible for efficient project management to achieve expected outcomes and outputs as stipulated in the project document and for excellent finance, administration and human resource management of the project. 

Qualifications & Competencies:

• Masters Degree in relevant discipline. Preference will be given to Medical Doctor with Public Health background;

• Minimum 10 years of working experience preferably in the field of development with 3 years of experience in a relevant field in similar position/s and in project management;

• Excellent understanding of Human Resource for Health and its context in Nepal and familiar with GON policies and protocols applicable for such project implementation;

• Competent in working with senior level officials of GoN, donors and networks of development agencies; and

• Good understanding of issues related to Gender and Social Inclusion. Duration: One year. First six months will be probationary period.
