For Mini-Grid Engineer (MGE)
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor engineering degree preferably in civil, electrical or mechanical engineering with 3 years of relevant work experience;
- Sound computer skills in MS Office (advanced excel, power point and internet application);
- Preference will be given to those candidates having practical skills on micro/mini-hydro power;
- The incumbent should have proven language proficiency both in English and Nepali for report writing.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the process of project identification and verification of mini-grid schemes;
- Perform technical assessment and appraisal of pre-feasibility/verification and detail feasibility study reports prepared by pre-qualified consultants;
- Monitor projects in different stages (Under Construction, Testing and Commissioning, Power Output Verification and One Year Guarantee Check) and prepare reports;
- Provide support to the community in consultant selection for studies, Installation Company for project installations and monitor of construction activities;
- Assist community in preparing bill of quantity (BOQ) for inviting quotations and assist the community for assessing the quotations received.
For Gender Equity & Social Inclusion (GESI) Officer
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor degree education with 3 years of relevant work experience;
- Sound computer skills in MS Office (advanced excel, power point and internet application);
- Preference will be given to those candidates having practical skills on field based gender experience in promoting renewable energy;
- The incumbent should have proven language proficiency both in English and Nepali for report writing;
- Women candidates and candidates from disadvantage groups and marginalized section of communities are highly encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct GESI activities in the district and specified project area;
- Conduct baseline survey of each individual projects and maintain subsequent project information;
- Collect, enter and maintain GESI database;
- Assist in process of conducting gender audit;
- Facilitate training (GESI related) to the community members, owners, managers, entrepreneurs etc.;
- Facilitate GESI promotional activities;
- Visit field for implementing and organizing and supervising GESI related activities at community level.
For Sub- Engineer (SE)
Minimum Qualifications
- Diploma/Certificate level degree preferably in civil, electrical or mechanical engineering with 2 years of relevant work experience;
- Sound computer skills in MS Office (advanced excel, power point and internet application);
- Preference will be given to those candidates having practical skills on micro/mini-hydro power.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in quality monitoring aspects of mini/micro-hydro plants;
- Assist in the process of project identification and verification;
- Assist in technical assessment and appraisal of pre-feasibility/verification and detail feasibility study reports prepared by pre-qualified consultants;
- Maintain pipeline of projects in different stages;
- Assist projects in different stages (Under Construction, Testing and Commissioning, Power Output Verification and One Year Guarantee Check;
- Planning and conducting field visits.
