Job Vacancy - One Heart World-Wide (OHW) Nepal, an INGO


One Heart World-Wide (OHW) Nepal is an INGO working in the field of Maternal and Child Health. OHW Nepal is seeking to recruit a qualified Nepali Citizen for the following position.

Job Position: Director of Administration
Type: Full-time position 
Job Station: Based in OHW Nepal Kathmandu Office

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manages the administrative functions for OHW Nepal office.
- Supervise OHW Nepal administrative staff.
- Oversees all accounting functions, including auditing, budgeting, financial analysis, capital asset and property management and payroll in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles, and all other applicable rules and guidelines as per Government of Nepal.
- Directs the Human Resource/Personnel function of the organization including employee handbook,performance appraisal, grievance procedures, discipline, policy and procedure development and implementation of same, benefits administration, payroll, position posting, screening and interviewing all candidates, temporary staffing requirements, etc.
- Updates, review, and develop operational guidelines and tools necessary to cope with operating environment, establishment of effective communication systems as well as representation and networking both inside and outside of OHW Nepal.
- Design and implement systems and procedures in compliance with OHW standards, ensuring effective internal controls and minimizing risks for the organization.
- Mentor and train relevant staff to ensure that team members have the appropriate skill levels for their positions and are developing to their full capacity; conduct training for other personnel as needed to fully educate on efficient, effective administrative systems as well as policy and procedure awareness and compliance.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master degree in Business Administration, non-profit management or related field from a recognized university.
- Experience may substitute for education. A candidate with a Bachelor degree in Administration, non-profit management or related field from a recognized University and 10 + years of experience will be considered.
- At least 5 years of experience working with an INGO.
- Ability to function as a self-starter with limited supervision.
- Knowledge and experience using MS-Office packages.
- Excellent verbal and written communication including excellent written and spoken English.
- Ability to manage people, good inter-personal skills and experience of working in a team.
- Good analytical skills, experience with financial oversight.
- Knowledge and experience in administrative management.
- Awareness of issues related to on-going political and socio economic context of Nepal.
- Practical experience in facilitation and interaction with government counterpart/stakeholders at different levels; Ability to deal with various stakeholders.
