Job Vacancy in NGO - Voice of Children

Voice of Children, nongovernmental organization works with the children living and working in the street and raise awareness on Child Sexual Abuse (CSA) and offers legal, moral and psychological support to its victims is looking for the dynamic, suitably qualified experienced Nepali citizen to be recruited in the following positions based in Kathmandu valley.

1.Communication & Fund Raising Officer
2. Program Officer

Communication & Fund Raising Officer
Main Responsibility:
1. Communication & Fund Raising:
- Explore new possibilities of raising funds for the organization.
- Conceptualize and develop Plans & Proposals for various intervention programs related with voice of children
- Responsible for Fund Raising, Resource Generation and grant proposal Development
- Maintain and update the donor database.
- Maintain the relations with donors and line agencies.
- Follow up on fund raising activities with concerned donor organizations.
- Organize fundraising meetings on regular basis (at least once a month).
- Be Responsible for organizing fundraising events.
- Prepare quarterly newsletters letter,
- Update website
- Prepare brochures and other communication tools
- Maintain internal communication
- Liaison with non government agencies & donor agencies
- Update files and data of programs

2. Documentation
- Collect monthly report from the program and update data
- Prepare documents such as newsletters, monthly, quarterly, annual reports, program reports, etc
- Consolidate quarterly & annual data and circulate to concerned unit/ program
- Collect the event report from each program, update and post in website

3. Internal Coordination
- Coordinate with program units for various internal programs and events
- Act as a bridge between the program/units and concerned donor organization
- Requirements:
- Professional experience in drafting project proposals to the National/ international donors;
- Sound knowledge working with private sector (enterprises, foundations, etc.);
- Bachelor’s degree with practical experience or Master in Management/Communication;
- Excellent written and oral, communication skills both in English & Nepali

Program Officer
Main Responsibilities:
Rescue and Rehabilitation:
- Investigate the issues of CSA incidences and rescue the victim of child sexual abuse from the vulnerable place
- To coordinate with other program and organization for reintegration and rehabilitation of the victim.
- Monitoring and evaluation as well as follow up of the cases

Capacity Building:
- Facilitating the training and workshop for the stakeholder
- Conduct interaction and orientation in community and schools
- Need Assessment of  the training and develop tools  for the Stakeholders

Networking and coordination:
- Coordinate with the like minded organization to organize the activities (capacity building , awareness and advocacy, rescue and rehabilitation )
- Publication and collection  of the related documents
- Responsible  in logistic management for the event and activities

Research and Documentation:
- Filed the case and support advocacy in the court against the abuser
- Research and  review the legal policies and filled the writ in the court on the issues of child protection with support of lawyers
- Develop data base of event and activities
- Documentation of testimonies and cases in digital and hard copies

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree from development studies or sociology
- Experience (added) of advocacy and legal procedures
- Good Facilitating skill and ability to deal with the children and their family.
- Good computer skills having   Nepali typing
- Good knowledge of national and international law and policies related to children
- Salary & benefits will be as per the organization rules & regulation.
