Administration & Finance Assistant Job Vacancy in Chlorexidine Navi Care Program (CNCP)


JSI Research & Training Institute, Inc is seeking applications for the following position for the Chlorexidine Navi Care Program (CNCP), a three year project from Sept 2011 to Sept 2014. Chlorhexidine Navi Care Program is supporting the Government of Nepal's (GoN) intention to reduce neonatal mortality. CNCP is supporting to implement Chlorhexidine (CHX) cord care program in the different districts of Nepal. 

JSI/CNCP has announced vacancy for the following post.

Post Title: Administration & Finance Assistant, a full time position  based in Kathmandu, Nepal.

This position requires frequent field visits for Administrative and Financial work. S/he is also expected to work requiring least supervision, as well as maintain a team-spirit and friendly working environment with team colleagues. S/he will work closely with the Administration & Finance Officer to manage and complete all financial, as well as administration work for the CNC Project. S/he will be under the direct supervision of the Administration & Finance Officer, but also report to the Project Manager, CNCP.

Following are the roles and responsibilities of the Administration & Finance Assistant (Kathmandu based position)

-  Ensure proper financial transaction as per the financial manual of CNCP
-  Take budget in advance for program and settle on time
-  Make payments, collect relevant documents as per JSI R & T/CNCP rules.
-  Collect and check program related documents and submit to central office for final approval
-  Ensure logistics arrangements for CNCP related works
-  Maintain Inventory records of all assets of the district based office
-  Ensure timely payments to participants and staff members
-  Ensure maintenance and operation of office equipment
-  Organize and provide logistic arrangements for meetings and workshops
-  Coordinate with district health office especially D(P)HO, finance team and focal person for finance related issues
-  Perform works assigned by the Project Manager  and Administration & Finance Officer

Qualifications/Experience

-  Intermediate in Management or other related field with at least 3 years’ experience
-  Knowledge about project financial management
-  Interest to work in district and ability to travel to community level
-  Computer knowledge and skill on Microsoft Office package.
