Job Vacancy - Rural Reconstruction Nepal (a NGO)


Rural Reconstruction Nepal (RRN) is a national Nepali non-governmental organization working in the areas of rural development, human rights and social justice, having strategic focus on protecting and promoting economic, social and cultural right, right to development and peace building from below. Its major interventions are directed towards pro-poor and pro-people policies and practices through rural development, advocacy, campaigning, lobbying, networking, research and concentization of poor and rural communities. 

RRN is currently looking for qualified, committed, and motivated candidates to fill the following positions for different projects including Community Support Programme (CSP II) funded by UKaid/DFID and being implemented by RRN in 19 districts of Nepal.

1. District Coordinator (one)
2. DRR Officer (one), Regional Office based
3. DRR Officer (two), District Offices based
4. Accountant (two) in District Offices
5. Social Mobilisers (few) in Field Offices 
6. Office Assistant (one) in District Office


Deadline to apply: 18th April 2013

For the positions of serial no. 1 and 2 minimum Bachelors degree is required, Masters preferred, in Social Sciences/ Agriculture/Engineering/ Forestry/NRM/Business Administration etc. with at least 3 years of relevant work experience. District Office based DRR Officer requires similar academic qualification as for the position number 1. and 2 plus 1 year relevant work experience. Position no. 4 and 5 requires minimum intermediate/higher secondary level education with at least two years relevant work experience. Office Assistant requires SLC level education. 

The applicants of all positions should be well versed in English and Nepali and have good knowledge of computer operations with general software such as word, excel, power points etc.
