Project Officer Vacancy - UNDP Nepal

UNDP Nepal works in the areas of transitional governance, pro-poor policies and sustainable livelihoods, peacebuilding and recovery, energy, environment and natural disaster management along with gender and HIV as cross cutting issues with its annual programme of US$ 40 million. It was established in Nepal in 1963 and works closely with the Government and development partners, thousands of community and civil society groups in all 75 districts of Nepal. In all its activities, UNDP encourages social inclusion, protection of human rights and empowerment of women.

UNDP developed and launched a five years Conflict Prevention Programme (CPP). The CPP has two pillars, Collabora-tive Leadership and Dialogue (CID) and the Conflict Sensitivity (CS) Program. With the continuation of low intensity armed violence in the Southern plains and the Eastern hills, which might be detrimental to the peace and development gains made by Nepal, the CPP envisions a program focusing on Armed Violence Reduction (AVR) and community security to build upon existing conflict prevention and peacebuilding work.
