Government of Nepal and the Government of Switzerland have signed a bilateral agreement to initiate a SMALL IRRIGATION PROGRAMME (SIP) - PHASE I, in nine districts of Nepal namely Ramechhap, Okhaldhunga, Khotang, Udayapur, Sindhuli, Achham, Dailekh, Jajarkot and Kalikot. Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) will provide a financial and technical supports to the Government of Nepal (GoN) represented by Ministry of Federal Affairs and Local Development (MoFALD) and its Department of Local Infrastructure and Agricultural Roads (DoLIDAR). Joint-Venture (N) of GEOCE Consultants (P) Ltd., Total Management Services Pvt Ltd. (TMS) and Aviyaan Consulting (P) Ltd, has set up a -TA team on behalf of SDC. In order to supplement its team, the JV is now seeking applications from the qualified and experienced Nepali Nationals for the following positions:
1. District Irrigation Engineers: 4 positions (Kalikot, Jajarkot, Khotang, and Okhaldhunga districts)
Qualification and Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering with 5 years experience in planning design and implementation of small irrigation systems. The expert should be familiar with the use of GPS survey methodologies, be proficient in use of GIS and AutoCAD software.
2. Finance and Administration Assistant : 1 position (Kathmandu) Qualification and Experience: The Finance & Admin Assistant shall have education up to the Higher Secondary Level (Bachelor's preferred) with 3 years experiences in finance and admin related task. She/He should have very good knowledge of computer based applications, viz., Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. She/He shall have good command over spoken and written English.
