Job Vacancy at Plan International Nepal

Founded over 77 years ago, Plan International is one of the oldest and largest children's development organisations in the world. We work in 51 developing countries across Africa, Asia and the Americas to promote child rights and lift millions of children out of poverty. We take active measures in recruitment and employment practices to ensure children are protected. Plan International has launched a major disaster response effort to help alleviate the suffering and preserve human dignity among the survivors of Earthquake in Sindhupalchok, Dolakha, Kavre, Makwanpur, Sindhuli, Baglung and Kathmandu Valley. For this purpose, Plan International invites highly competent, experienced and committed professionals to fill the following positions: 

1. Community Engagement Manager -1 position
Terms & Location: Fixed term employment for 6 months, based at Nepal Country Office, Lalitpur with frequent travel to response areas. Qualifications: Master's Degree in Community Development, Social Work, or related degrees. At least four (4) years of experience in the Management level on implementation of emergency response projects or community engagement project. Experience with planning, monitoring, and evaluation tools and in using international Quality and Accountability standards in an emergency response. Excellent communication, problem solving, and team playing skills. Have sound knowledge on Community led development process and comprehensive development understanding.

2. Community Engagement Officer -3 positions 
Terms & Location: Fixed term employment for 6 months, based at earthquake affected areas (1 for Sindhupalchok, 1 for Dolakha and 1 roaming for Sindhuli and Makwanpur) 
Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Community Development, Social Work, or related degrees. At least three (3) years of experience in the management and implementation of emergency response projects or community engagement project. Ability in planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of programme in emergency response projects. Competencies both in English and Nepali Language. Excellent report writing and presentation skills
