Handicap International (HI), an INGO working in the field of disability in Nepal invites applications from qualified Nepali candidate for the following positions:
1. Disaster Risk Reduction - Project Manager [Earthquake Preparedness Project (EPP)] -1 Position (Re-announcement*)
Required qualifications and competencies
- Master's degree in disaster management, social sciences/work, rural development, agriculture, environment management, engineering or related field with at least four years of professional experiences in project cycle management.
- Proven skills in project planning, monitoring, reporting, knowledge and database management, and partnership management.
- Knowledge of urban risk management, disaster risk management and related national policies.
- Proven experience in coordination with government authorities and other stakeholders.
- Excellent report writing skills in Nepali and English languages.
2. Project Assistant - 1 Position
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- At least two years' experience in a similar position, preferably in an INGO.
- Proven competency and ability in coordinating with multiple stakeholders.
- Practical organization skills, ability to work pro-actively through objectives in a result oriented approach.
- Excellent computer skills with proficiency in MS Excel and MS Office.
- Fluency in written and spoken English and Nepali
