RIDA is seeking an intern for its Feed the Future-Monitoring and Evaluation (FTF-M&E) Program for a period of four months (January to April 2015).
Feed the Future (FTF) is U.S. Government's global hunger and food security initiative being implemented in 19 countries of the world with the objective of sustainably reducing global poverty and hunger through the interventions in agricultural sector.
Position: Intern
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Sociology, Development Studies, Economics or a related field;
• Experience in writing, editing and proofreading in English;
• Knowledge on monitoring and evaluation of development projects
• Experience in development of research tools and data collection and knowledge of Nepalese agriculture, nutrition and economy will be an advantage;
• Knowledge of project management, development research and data analysis;
Expected Tasks to perform by the interns:
1. Conduct review of the necessary documents that are directly and indirectly related to the project for eg. various reports on nutrition, agriculture, behavior change etc.
2. Participate and provide support to the project team designing, developing and implementing the FTF M&E system
3. Assist in areas such as documentation, tools drafting, communication, corresponding activities
4. Take part in coordinating activities like meetings with the implementing partners, donors, and other stakeholders
5. Take part in the data entry, refining, cleaning and analysis activities
6. Participate in the various programs like capacity building workshops, dissemination and sharing programs, seminars as applicable
7. Provide support in producing periodic reports and documentation
8. Conduct field visits to the project districts as necessary
