Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) has increased the load-shedding to 58.5 hours from 52 hours a week with effect from September 6, 2014 (Bhadra 21, 2071). As per the new schedule, Nepalese people will have to live in darkness for 7.5 to 9 hours in a day.
