Deputy Director Job Vacancy - FHI 360

FHI 360 is currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Deputy Director, Public Health Programs in Kathmandu, Nepal. 

Job Position: Deputy Director

The Deputy Director, Public Health Programs is responsible for oversight of the program and technical resources and contributes to program development, and provides overall leadership for program implementation, monitoring and evaluation; technical quality; and strategic information. 

Minimum Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree or its international equivalent in Business, Public Health or related field. 
• Typically requires 8+ years of experience with developing international programs and project management experience. 
• Demonstrated experience in managing complex projects that are strategic in nature and international in scope. 
• Articulate, professional and able to communicate in a clear, positive manner with clients and staff. 
• Must be able to read, write, and speak fluent English; fluent in host country language. 

Preferred Experience:
• MS/MA in public health or related field required; PhD desired with at least 7 years relevant experience in management of international development programs 
• Proven experience and performance in program development, grant making and grant management with international organization 
• Ability to work in teams and create collaborative team building environment 
• Excellent English writing and with good communication skills. 
• Experience with USAID rules and regulations 
• Prior experience working in Nepal and ability to speak the Nepali language is an advantage 
• Ability to travel to the field 20-30 percent of the time
