A well known Nepal based Adventure Company has two vacancies for professional managers on two different languages, English and Japanese. The persons appointed must be smart, accept company policies, reliable, flexible during the trek season, knowledge of adventure industry, preferably with previous experience, good English and Japanese language skills respectively. Also the candidates should understand the requirements of trek costing and trek planning for the following posts.
1. Trekking Manager in English language
2. Trekking Manager in Japanese language
The candidates must have:
• Masters degree in any discipline with at least 5 years of experience in similar post
• Have excellent spoken and written English/Japanese and a good telephone manner
• Idea about AMS issues
• IT Skills
• Understand under pressure deadlines
• Excellent knowledge of the trekking industry and must preferably have worked in the field
• Computer literate with competence in 'Office' programs and Google Earth
• Familiar with the routes and maps of Nepal and other Himalayan regions
• Understanding what foreign clients expect when visiting Nepal
• The idea to devise new trekking routes or combinations of different routes to meet the clients' needs
• Ability to lead and training junior administrators in the finer points of trekking office procedures
• Experience to lead and delegate but and at the same time take responsibility for the actions of junior colleagues
• To be the central point of communication between the office and field staff while the latter are on trek
• To be able to demonstrate a good in depth knowledge of all aspects of the trekking industry
