ICIMOD is a regional knowledge development and learning centre serving the eight regional member countries of the Hindu Kush-Himalayas (HKH) – Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, China, India, Myanmar, Nepal, and Pakistan. ICIMOD is working to develop an economically and environmentally sound mountain ecosystem to improve the living standards of mountain populations – now, and for the future. Job Description

Under the direct supervision of the Knowledge Management, Multimedia, and Web Officer and in close consultation with the web team, the Intern will contribute to updating and adding new content to the ICIMOD website. The Intern will be responsible for the following tasks:

- Assess and categorize the relevance of information posted on the ICIMOD website (i.e., identifying old postings)

- Assist in the preparation, collection, and revision of information material for the website in collaboration with the respective programmes, initiatives, themes, and divisions

- Help ensure the presence and appropriate layout of up-to-date information on the ICIMOD website

- Work as a team player to support web-related work

- Content knowledge: Basic knowledge of web pages, web updating and content management system.

- Communication skills: Excellent written and oral English communication skills; ability to interact with a wide variety of people

- Innovation: Ability to easily adapt to changing technologies and design web pages in an easy to navigate manner

- Social/team competency: Ability to work smoothly and effectively with others in a team to meet the organization’s objectives; comfortable in a multicultural setting

- Impact and result orientation: Proactive approach for the smooth organization of internal processes; ability to work independently (self-motivated and disciplined) and to take initiative
