Finance Officer Job Vacancy - CARE Nepal

CARE Nepal is an international humanitarian organization working in Nepal for the past 35 years. It currently works in 45 districts through its 12 projects on issues related to improving the lives of the poor and vulnerable and socially excluded populations. 

CARE Nepal seeks competent, committed and result oriented candidates for the position of Finance Officer for DIPECHO/ VISTAR Project. This position will be based in CARE Nepal's Regional Field Office, Dhangadhi. This is 18 months project starting from February 15, 2013 to August 14, 2014. 

Job Position: Finance Officer

Key responsibilities: The Finance Officer will be responsible for the overall financial management of VISTAR Project. S/he will liaise closely with Finance Department in Central Office and maintain CARE's financial operation in the field and also provide guidance and leadership to all Admin and Program staffs concerning the overall financial information management including budgeting and other financial related issues. The Finance Officer ensures the compliance with donor and CARE's rules and other relevance policies and procedures. S/he will also be guiding, coaching, monitoring the partners and increase their financial management efficiency and effectiveness. 

Qualifications: Bachelor's in Management and at least 3 years of experience in a similar field. 

Competencies: Knowledge of current government's tax policies and labor laws; ability to work in a team; Good communication skill in both English and Nepali; Able to use computer to run office application software packages; Familiar with financial policy and procedure; Knowledge on accounting, auditing system and financial monitoring system.
