Account Officer Job Vacancy - ForestAction Nepal


ForestAction Nepal is a non-profit and self-governed civil society organization in the field of Forestry, Agriculture and Climate Change. Since its inception in 2000, ForestAction has been engaged in livelihood support, local democracy, promoting grassroots institutions and policy advocacy through action research, policy analysis, networking and direct field operations.

Educational Description:
- Completion of Bachelor’s Degree (Management-BBS, BBA)

Job Specification:
- Experience in general accounting and office administration including dealing with the public
- Working knowledge of Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, power point, E-mail, Internet and excellent ability to type both English and Nepali;
- Good organizational and communication  and interpersonal skills
- Good written and verbal communication skill in both English and Nepali

Job Description:
- Applicants must be able to carry out the normal office administration and accounting tasks. Under overall guidance and direct supervision of the Operation and Finance Coordinator, the candidate will be responsible for the following administration and accounting function:
- Provides support in Logistic Management;
- Maintains Inventory and fixed assets records, and processes;
- Makes travel and accommodation arrangements;
- Maintains all account related document through filing.
- Assists Project Leaders in preparing financial reports;
- Assists in providing accounting and administrative support for workshops/seminars and meetings that may occur within the scope of ForestAction;
- Undertakes other related tasks as assigned by the Operation and Finance Coordinator.
