Operations Manager Job Vacancy - CloudFactory


CloudFactory is more than one of the hottest tech startups in Asia - we are working to connect one million people in the developing world to basic computer work and raise them up as leaders to address poverty in their own communities. All of this happens via microwork or crowdsourcing where our technology platform breaks large projects into small computer tasks which are then performed by our distributed global workforce, whom we call Cloud Workers. Our cloud workers work remotely every week and they are compensated for every satisfactory task they complete. 

With 90 full-time employees and 1600 part-time data entry operators (Cloud Workers), the company has seen fantastic growth in Nepal over the last couple of years. In 2013 we project hiring more than 5,000 data entry operators and replicate the business model to Kenya and one other developing nation in Asia/Africa. By 2017 we aim to give work to 1 million people across ten developing nations.

Job Position: Operations Manager

The Operations Manager shall be responsible to run the day-to-day operations at CloudFactory. They shall find ways to make the company more productive by providing effective methods in its Admin operations.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee the daily operations of the office - staff/ visitors’ in-outflow, cleanliness and maintenance of office premises, kitchen, security and other necessary activities.
- Prepare processes and policies to ensure efficiency in operations.
- Ensure more pleasant and efficient working atmosphere.
- Locally and internationally source major purchases and key vendors to provide services needed for the business.
- Own the maintenance of the office building and grounds; maintain good relationships with key local craftsmen: electrical, plumbing, painters, handymen, etc.
- Coordinate the corporate guest flat and meeting the needs of our guests staying there: clients, consultants, journalists, new foreign employees, other visitors, etc.
- Come up with strategies for ensuring we have an ample supply of the water, diesel, petrol, cooking gas and anything else that is essential to the running of the company
- Coordinate with our lawyer on all issues including acquiring and renewing visas, etc
- Manage interaction with various stakeholders.
- Manage Admin operations staff - operations officer, office assistant, receptionist, support staff and other outsourced services representatives.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- MBA with two (2) plus years of relevant job experience

- Open minded with excellent organization skills
- Self motivated and creative
- Strong communication and people skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize work
