Job Vacancy - Tewa (a non-profit philanthropic organization)



Tewa is a non-profit philanthropic organization established in 1996, with an aim to bring Nepali women and men into equitable partnership in the development of the country and assist in empowering emerging group of rural women. Tewa, the Nepal women's fund is looking for qualified and result oriented Nepali citizen for the following position. 


1. Program Officer-Tewa Centre (PO-TC)
2. Assistant Finance/Admin Officer (AFAO)

For Program Officer-Tewa Centre (PO-TC)

The application will require to mention the subject as "Application for the position of PO-TC " and it should be addressed to "Development Director ".  Only short listed candidates will be contacted by Tewa by 20th May 2013 for a selection process.

Salary and other staff benefits will be according to Tewa's HR rules and regulations.

Qualifications and Responsibilities:

•        Requires  a minimum Bachelors degree

•        Having driving license for motorcycle/scooter/vehicle will be advantageous

•        The position requires competent management, PR, inter-personal and astute economic sensibilities


The Program Officer -Tewa Centre will be responsible for:

•        Promoting the Tewa Centre to ensure optimal use of its facilities

•        Management and necessary oversight of Tewa Centre personnels

•        Management and overseeing of housekeeping and related responsibilities

•        Organizing necessary and required logistics

•        Overall supervision and upkeep of the Tewa Centre.


For Assistant Finance/Admin Officer (AFAO)

The application should mention the subject as "Application for the position of AFAO" and it should be addressed to "Development Director ".  Only short listed candidates will be contacted by Tewa by 20th May 2013 for a selection process.

Qualifications and Responsibilities:

·       Requires minimum Bachelors degree in accounting/administration and with knowledge of computerized accounting system.

·       Having driving license for motorcycle/scooter will be advantageous


The AFAO will be responsible for:

·       Preparation of Vouchers (Journal, Receipts and Payments), entering in Books of Accounts, Filing and verifying records

·       Maintain up-to-date records of monthly income and expenditure.

·       Maintain records/receipts of  bank deposits/payments to parties

·       Maintain and Reconcile Petty Cash account

·       Reconcile bank statements and cash balances

·       Provide administrative and logistical support to other members of the team
