Job Vacancy - Esther Benjamins Memorial Foundation (an NGO)


Esther Benjamins Memorial Foundation (EBMF) is an NGO supported by the Esther Benjamins Trust UK. The Foundation is currently based in Godawari, Lalitpur. For the last several years, it has worked with the rescue, rehabilitation, community awareness and long-term care of displaced and marginalised Nepali children. It works to prevent trafficking of children from vulnerable rural communities across the country. EBMF is seeking a candidate who has passion to work in a dynamic team. 

Job Position: Operational Programme Manager 
Job Location: Based in Godawari, Lalitpur
Deadline to apply: 14th April, 2013

Candidates should have:
• Graduate degree in Development, Social Science, Public or Business Administration. 
• Master degree is preferred in the subjects above. 
• Plan, execute, implement and monitor the project activities & its progress as per the project proposal.
• Excellent communication skills in English and the ability to communicate with people at all levels.
• Proven experience in development issues and expert knowledge in the important roles of the NGO sector. • Extensive experience in staff management and supervising duties.
• Experience in project management and overseeing large multi-donor projects. 
• Experience in development of project plans, strategies and implementation guidelines. 
• Strong analytical skills, with a creative mind and diplomatic skills. 
• Represent EBMF at central and local levels and liaise, negotiate, build networks and alliances and partnership with governmental, non-governmental bodies and other agencies. 
• Excellent judgmental, decision making skills and the ability to work under continual deadline pressure.
• Ability to ride motorcycle with valid driving license. 

This position requires willingness to work in time pressure, advance report writing skills, very good command in English language and excellent presentation skills in English and Nepali language.
