The Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) has increased the load-shedding to 69 hours from 56 hours a week with effect from December 08, 2012 (Mangsir 23, 2069). As per the new schedule, Nepalese people will have to live in darkness for 11 hours for 2 days, 10 hours for 3 days and 8 and 9 hours for 1 day each in a week.
