Practical Action is an International NGO, working in South Asia, Southern and Eastern Africa and Latin America with its Head Office in the UK for upscaling of its good practices. Practical Action in Nepal is implementing a two year DFID funded programme 'Samarth-Nepal Market Development Programme' that focuses on piloting Making Markets Work for the Poor (M4P) approach in Nepal and intends to work for rural market development, particularly in agricultural sub-sector which have potential for pro- poor growth. As part of Samarth NMDP, Practical Action in Nepal will work closely with key market actors to bring a systemic change in the dairy market system that will lead to improved market access and growth opportunities for smallholder farmers and small-scale entrepreneurs.
