The Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) has increased the load-shedding to 56 hours from 46 hours a week with effect from November 28, 2012 (Mangsir 13, 2069). As per the new schedule, Nepalese people will have to live in darkness for 8 hours for 5 days and 7 and 9 hours for 1 day each in a week.
