HELVETAS Swiss Intercooperation Nepal is a Swiss non-governmental organization actively contributing to the improvement of the living conditions of poor and disadvantaged. HELVETAS Swiss Intercooperation Nepal has been working in Nepal for more than 50 years. Currently, it runs more than twelve programs and projects in five working areas: Education and Skills Development, Environment and Climate, Governance and Peace, Rural Economy and Water and Infrastructure.
SSMP, funded by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) and executed by HELVETAS Nepal, is supporting farmers to improve the quality of soil and increase productivity for improved food security and incomes of small farmers and disadvantaged groups in the rural mid-hills of Nepal. During Phase 4 (2011 to 2014), SSMP is implementing in 7 districts: Khotang, Okhaldhunga, and Ramechhap in the east, and Achham, Dailekh, Jajarkot, and Kalikot in the west. SSMP/HELVETAS Nepal invites applications from Nepali citizens for the following positions.
Position: District Programme Coordinator - 1 position
Duty station: Achham district (40% time will be spent outside of district Head Quarter for programme monitoring and supervision)
Qualification: Master's of Science (M.Sc.) in Agriculture.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years field based experience.
