In Nepal, HI has been present since 2000. It works primarily through partner organizations in the development of projects and activities for the rehabilitation and inclusion of persons with disabilities into the mainstream development process. Prevention of disabilities and combating exclusion and stigmatization of persons with disabilities are also a major focus of its work. The Earthquake Preparedness Project will work with consortium partners to improve emergency response capacityof health and rehabilitation services for a majorearthquake in the Kathmandu Valley.
