The Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) has again decreased the
load-shedding to 56 hours from 62 hours a week with effect from May 25, 2012 (Jestha 12, 2069). As per the new schedule, Nepalese people
will have to live in darkness for 9 hours for 2 days and 5, 7, 8, 8.5 and 9.5
hours for remaining days in a week.
