Programme Officer Wanted - Alliance for Social Dialogue (ASD)

Alliance for Social Dialogue (ASD) aims to promote dialogue within Nepal on a variety of issues, including but not limited to the promotion of democratic values and institutions in Nepal. ASD has been engaging with various stakeholders in an effort to exercise intellectual leadership in areas that promote an open society, such as education, human rights, women, youth and independent media. It is looking for qualified candidate for following position to oversee the Education program.

Job Position: Programme Officer
Type:  Full Time
Key Responsibilities:
The Programme Officer will be responsible to:
• Manage the Education portfolio
• Liaise with different stakeholders and conduct discussion sessions on various education policies
• Identify education policy issues and develop policy papers
• Coordinate with Open Society Foundations (OSFs) and their education related Network Programs and facilitate their work in Nepal
• Document and prepare reports

Qualification and Experiences
• University Degree: Masters degree in any social science discipline or related degree
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in Nepali and English
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent analytical and research skills required
• Ability and flexibility to travel extensively within Nepal
• Ability to communicate effectively and clearly with a range of actors and diverse backgrounds
• Broad computer skills required, including word processing and databases
