Development Nepal, a UK-based NGO has been implementing Ujyalo Bhavishya Programme in Sunsari district since 2000 in partnership with UCHEP Nepal. The project supports and works with disadvantaged and marginalized communities in the areas of education, health, infrastructure, finance and rights awareness.
UCHEP Nepal is looking for a dynamic, experienced and confident candidate for the post of Programme Consultant. The successful candidate will be a proven self-starter and an experienced development manager with experience of working with international NGOs and demonstrating impact.
Position: Programme consultant
Qualification: Bachelor Level
Languages: Fluent in both written and spoken Nepali and English
Salary: Competitive salary plus relocation package
Period: 12 months (first contract Start date July 2012)

The role will involve technical, management and strategic consultancy of the project, as well as direct implementation responsibility in specified areas (e.g. micro finance). This varied and challenging role will also involve training and mentoring of senior project management staff and direct reporting to UK-based trustees.
