Samriddha
Pahad Project is an initiative of THE BLUEBERRY HILL CHARITABLE TRUST, an
International Non-Governmental Organization (INGO) based in the UK. The main
objective of the project is to reduce poverty by improving livelihood and
enhancing access to financial services of communities based in rural and remote
hills and mountains of Nepal.
JOB TITLE: Field Coordinator & Project Accountant
DUTY STATION: Western Region
JOB PURPOSE: To coordinate the implementation of Samriddha Pahad Project in western region through local NGO partners for achieving the project’s objectives.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES:
FOR FIELD COORDINATOR (FC)
1. Assist local NGO partners to plan, implement, monitor and report all aspects of the Project
2. Mobilize and manage available resources including actively seeking synergies at the local level
3. Liaise with financial institutions to mobalise funds at local level
4. Coordinate the implementation of the project with key local stakeholders and communicate results, outputs, outcomes etc.
5. Establish and operate Project Management Unit (PMU) efficiently in each working district as the focal point for all of Samriddha Pahad’s activities.
FOR PROJECT ACCOUNTANT (PA)
Under the defined specifications, the PA will ensure that the PMU follows all key administrative and financial guidelines, compliance and policies in the effective implementation of the Project. This includes ensuring procurement, payment, human resource management, financial compliances, accounting procedures and other key organizational activities are in compliance with the policies and guidelines of the Trust and GoN also.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
FOR FIELD COORDINATOR
Masters Degree in Development Studies, Management, Social Science etc. with two (2) years of experience or at least a Bachelor degree in related field with four (4) years of experience. Knowledge of accounting software Tally will be an advantage.
FOR PROJECT ACCOUNTANT
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Studies with two (2) years experience in Administration and Finance areas. At least one(1) year experience in using Tally software is essential. Able to handle office correspondence independently.
For both the position, working experience as a similar position in an INGO or similar project is desirable. Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office package, email and internet is required. Willingness and enthusiasm for working with rural and vulnerable communities living in remote areas of the country.
