The Human Resource Department (HRD) of South Korea published the results of the Korean Language Test (KLT) examinations -2011 on Tuesday.
A total of 50,043 applicants had attended KLT, the gateway to job opportunities in South Korea last July. Of the total applicants, only 15,298 aspirants passed the exams, according to Krishanahari Karna, deputy spokesperson of Labour Ministry.
According to him, 13,298 applicants have been selected for production related job and remaining 2,000 for agriculture sector.
South Korea is a lucrative destination for Nepali workers with a monthly average income of $ 1,000, which is five times more than other popular destinations like Gulf countries and Malaysia.
