Job Vacancy in a U.S. based Non-profit Development Organaization, Lutheran World Relief

Lutheran World Relief (LWR), a U.S. based non-profit development organization, is seeking to recruit following positions for the Nepal office. 

a) Program Manager - Shelter (PM-SL) - Single Post Based 75% in Lamjung & 25% in Kathmandu Required Qualification: 
• 2 years progressive experience on earthquake resistant low-cost shelter. 
• Experience in conducting rapid assessment of housing needs. 
• Knowledge of minimum standards in disaster response (Sphere) 
• Understanding of internationally humanitarian systems and in Nepal 
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with local government. 
• Experience working with local-based NGOs and community-based organizations 
• Ability to travel at least 75% of the time. 
• Bachelor's degree Engineering. 

Preferred Qualifications: 
• Knowledge of HAP 
• Knowledge of cash transfer 
• Familiarity with the cluster approach 

b) Program Officer - Earthquake Response - Two Posts, One Based in Lamjung and One in Gorkha Job specific Requirements: 
• Minimum 3-4 years of previous experience working with LINGO in project management role. 
• Demonstrated experience in designing, monitoring and evaluating emergency response systems and exposure to emergency response projects. 
• Bachelor's degree in social science. 
• Excellent facilitation skills in conducting meetings, training workshops and conferences. 
• Familiarity with Lamjung and Gorkha area would be an advantage. 
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with local government, non-government organizations, community based organizations and other grassroots groups. 
• Ability to travel about 75% of the time. 

c) Finance and Administration Assistant- Single Post Based in Kathmandu
Job specific Requirements: 
• Bachelor's Degree in finance, accounting, public administration or related field. 
• Excellent skills on administrative management and office - based work. 
• Understanding of general accepted accounting principles. 
• 1-2 years of experience in similar position. General requirements (All positions):

• Energetic, passionate, hardworking, committed and a team player. 
• Proficiency in using Word, Excel, e-mail and web browser software. 
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
• Fluency in English and local language 
• Good interpersonal skills
