Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) has decreased the load-shedding to 47 hours from 56 hours a week with effect from July 5, 2014 (Ashadh 21, 2071). As per the new schedule, Nepalese people will have to live in darkness for 7.5 to 9 hours in a day.
