Strategic Role
- Lead and oversee the development and growth of profitable new business and to develop and maintain effective key agency relationships.
- Brand building strategies
- Identification and segregation of potential market segments
- Revenue generation through new account development and key account management
- Develop, review and report on the business development division’s strategy, ensuring the strategic objectives are well understood and executed by the team.
- Agree on biz volumes with Principal companies and ensure achievement of targets set forth.
Operational Role
- Monitor market intelligence within the industry in terms of market development, new projects, competitive activity and new suppliers.
- Provide market intelligence data to trainers, marketing division and sales division.
- Monitoring the performance of every SKU. Guide/supportsales force to move in proper direction as per industry trends and achieve targets.
- Liaise with other executive heads on the implementation of the company’s strategic and operational plans.
- Ensure efficient and effective marketing, advertising and promotional planning through the marketing department.
- Complete all responsibilities within the deadlines provided and ensure no loss to the company in delayed execution of work.
- Communicate with the Sales Division, Commercial Division and the SCM department on ordering of stocks and spares-coordinating point for spares ordering.
- Communicate to the sales team and product trainer on all new model arrivals and model which are phasing out giving time to prepare for the ordering or disposing the said inventory.
- Organizing visit of Principal company and preparation of all documents with regards to visit. Further, be in lead to negotiate all biz issues with Principal companies along with making presentations to them.
- Weekly market visits – Dealer and Retail – to understand competition models, prices, biz strategy, etc. and align own product portfolio accordingly.
- Market mapping for each product category.
- Preparation of internal business plan (sales/operational/purchase) for brands responsible.
- To liaison with all the concerned departments and the principals in case of quality issues in products.
- To ensure all the artworks for the products are in order and make changes if required to customize as per Nepal market requirements.
- Preparations of all documents required to be submitted to principal companies from time to time.
Organizational Role
- Consistent follow-through and resourcefulness, in order to achieve organizational goals and objectives.
- Impact the profitability of the company through ensuring strategic and tactical management decisions and new business development results.
