Job Vacancy in Youth Initiative

Youth Initiative (YI) is a youth led organization working for the capacity development of youths in Nepal. Established in 1999, YI was formally registered with the District Administration Office, Kathmandu in April 2001, and is affiliated with the Social Welfare Council (SWC) of Nepal. Today, YI is one of the leading youth organizations working in the field of youth empowerment, strengthening of student and youth politics, promotion of civic engagement, democratization and human rights in Nepal.

To implement a multi-year project in Mid and Far Western districts with the objective of promoting youth role in local governance, community stabilization and decision making at local level, YI is seeking for the following positions:

1. REGIONAL PROJECT COORDINATOR - Nepalgunj based

2.  DISTRICT PROJECT COORDINATOR - 06 - Based in Banke, Bardiya, Dang, Surkhet, Kailali, and Kanchanpur, districts.

3. REGIONAL ADMIN FINANCE COORDINATOR -  Nepalgunj Based

For  REGIONAL PROJECT COORDINATOR 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: The Regional Project Coordinator is a key person to oversee the YI project in the six districts in Mid and Far Western Region. S/He will be responsible for planning, implementing project activities, monitoring and preparing periodic project reports.

QUALIFICATION:
Masters Degree in social science, management, or development related fields.
At least 3 years of experience.
Should have a high level skills in project planning, implementation, management and prioritizing tasks, strong communications, analytical, coordinating and report writing skills.

For DISTRICT PROJECT COORDINATOR

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: The District Project Coordinator is one of the key staff based in project district. S/He will be responsible for planning, implementing project activities, monitoring and preparing periodic reports in the district.

QUALIFICATION:
Bachelors Degree in social science or development related fields.
At least 2 years of experience in similar capacity.
Should have a experience in project planning, implementation, management and prioritizing tasks.
Should have a sound track record of designing and delivering programs (trainings, workshops, seminars, conferences, and campaigns) for youth and youth related issues.

For REGIONAL ADMIN FINANCE COORDINATOR

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: The Regional Admin Finance Coordinator would be responsible for the day to day Administration, Financial management and Procurement required for the project. S/he is responsible to implement financial procedures according to the policies and guidelines of YI.

QUALIFICATION:
At least Masters Degree in Management from a recognized University,
Should have good knowledge of accounting standards and tax policies of Nepal.
At least 3 years of relevant working experience, preferably working within the development sector, in a financial management capacity.
Should have knowledge & capability to independently prepare periodic financial reports.
