The Lutheran World Federation Nepal is seeking to recruit suitable candidates for the following two positions described below. Both positions are for the South and South East Asia Regional Emergency Hub based in its Kathmandu Office.
1. Emergency Operations/Program Manager
The Emergency Operations/Program Manager is mainly responsible for ensuring LWF/DWS emergency response capacity in the region by providing training, planning and assisting in setting up DWS emergency projects, prepare emergency contingency plan, develop regional emergency response strategy. He/she will be required to travel extensively in the region and to respond to sudden-onset disasters in the region. The Emergency Operations/Program Manager will report to the Regional Emergency Team Leader.
2. Logistics and Security Officer
The Logistics and Security Officer is mainly responsible to develop the emergency plan, building the capacity of staff, monitor the operational environment, threat analysis, ensure establishment of functional procurement and supply chain management system. In addition, she/he ensures establishment of logistics infrastructure, monitoring, and reporting. The Security and Logistics Officer reports to the Regional Emergency Team Leader.
