Building Disaster Resilient Communities in Pokhara Sub-Metropolitan is a project of a consortium of ActionAid International Nepal (AAIN) and Practical Action in Nepal with financial assistance of UKaid through DFID. The project aims to build the capacity of communities to respond and prepare for disasters, as well as supporting them to provide a safer environment. The project will be implemented in collaboration with the local municipal authorities, partner NGOs and district and national level key stakeholders.

ActionAid International Nepal's (AAIN) mission is to facilitate actions to end poverty and injustice through human rights based approach to development.
Practical Action is an International NGO, working in South Asia, Southern and Eastern Africa and Latin America with Head Office in the UK. It aims to reduce poverty in developing countries - by introducing appropriate technologies for the communities, demonstrating results, sharing knowledge, building capacity to replicate and influencing others for scaling up.
