The Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) has increased load-shedding to 86 hours a week (12 hours a day Approx.) with effect from January 16, 2012 (Magh 02, 2068). As per the new schedule, people will have to live in darkness for 11 hours for 3 days; 12 and 13 hours for 1 day each and 14 hours for 2 days.
